eBay introduces Markdown Manager to put specific items in your eBay store on sale.

This week eBay has introduced a new (free) service for eBay Store sellers. Now you can put an item in your eBay Store on sale. It will continue to show the original price with a slash through it and then the sale price. This allows you to show buyers that the item is marked down.

I like the concept of this new feature and I think it may help increase cross-sales because it reminds buyers that sales don't last forever and makes them more likely to buy now rather than wait (and often forget about it).

One thing I really like is that you don't have to put the entire store on sale. You can pick and choose products to markdown while leaving your best sellers at full price.

eBay is running a tutorial for how to use this feature on February 8th at 2.00PM Pacific Time.
