How To Make Money With The Amazon Affiliate Program

November 10th, 2010 by Skip McGrath

I have been working on a book with that very title for the past month or so.  I am deep into the project and still plan to continue, but someone beat me to it.  This week I came across a extensive –and really excellent video training program for only $37.00 by a young guy named Dan Brock.

Dan’s course takes you by the hand and shows you how to set up small quick cheap niche websites (or blog)  loaded with Amazon products.  When someone finds your website (he shows you how that gets done too), they read about a product. And when they click on the product they are taken right to Amazon.  If they purchase the product you earn a commission from Amazon.  Its that simple.  I have been doing this for several years, but with these methods I am amping it up.

And you don’t even need a website. Dan shows you how you can earn commissions simply by writing product reviews and placing them on existing websites such as free article submission sites and doing guest posts on blogs (bloggers are always looking for foljks who will do this).

Dan’s calls his product the Deadbeat Super Affiliate Program.

OK – I am not crazy about the name, but he is a young guy who has a lot to learn yet.  AND – this is important. Dan’s training product is excellent and a super value at $37.  But, he is one of those guys who use the one-time-offer upsell.  Some people don’t mind those —but personally I hate them.  But don’t let that stop you from looking at this. A couple of the upsells actually look pretty good –but I did not buy them and I am still quite happy with what I bought.  And I have always believed that any good marketer will always give you another shot at an upsell no matter what the One-time-offer says.

Consider this: Amazon paid out a cool $9.6 billion just to affiliates last year

There are three things you need to know:

1. Information products are highly profitable, but physical products still outsell every other type of product

2. We are coming into the holiday season where a company like Amazon makes 60% of annual their sales and profits in just November, December and January.  So the timing couldn’t be better.

3. Dan’s program comes with a 60-Day money-back guarantee.

PS:  Dan’s methods are optimized for Amazon, but they also work on any physical product web site affiliate program including eBay, Wal-mart, Radio Shack, Omaha Steaks and more.
